Award «A word in league with the good»
On February 28, 2013 giving ceremony of the Award «A word in league with the good», initiated by the «Life line» charity fund dedicated to saving seriously ill children, took place for the first time ever in the Taleon Imperial Hotel.
Awards were given to winners in 7 categories. Among those who got a special prize with a picture by Andrey Bilzho and a laureate diploma, were ones involved in TV and media (both offline and online) industry, covering activities of non-profit organizations, philanthropes and volunteers’ movement in Russia.
«We are living in a world, where an initiative, even the most good, isn’t noticed without being covered by the media. That’s why we place great emphasis on working with the media and strive to create interesting newsworthy events in charity», — noted Faina Zaharova, president of the «Life line» fund in her opening remarks.
About the award:
Award «A word in league with the good» was initiated in 2013 by the «Life line» charity fund dedicated to saving seriously ill children. The main purpose of the Award is to recognize a high level of professionalism of mass media and journalists covering activities of non-profit organizations, philanthropes and volunteers’ movement in Russia. Another purpose is to create incentives for fourth estate, capable to influence on the formation of the third sector of the Russian economy, to work with non-profit organizations and volunteers’ movements.
